I'm Kevin Fulton, a senior software QA engineer based in Sacramento, California. I've spent 15+ years on the quality side of software — writing test strategy, building automation frameworks, and owning release readiness for teams shipping on Agile cadences.
What I'm working on now
At Assurance Security Technology I build and maintain a Playwright regression suite of roughly 1,500 cases, and I built an internal AI agent — an Atlassian Forge app — that reads Jira requirements, drafts Zephyr Scale test cases and cycles, generates Playwright automation code, and kicks off the GitHub Actions workflow to run it.
For the stories it has handled so far, that pipeline took test authoring from about two hours to roughly ten minutes, and first-draft script generation from about two hours to forty-five minutes. The interesting part isn't the speedup — it's what the agent gets wrong, and how you review its output before it earns a place in the suite. That's most of what I write about here.
